CASUS is the Swiss Legal AI Associate for law firms and in-house legal teams. Customer Inputs, documents, AI outputs and backups are stored in Zurich, Switzerland. AI inference takes place in Belgium, Switzerland and Sweden.

Our contractual commitments

• No AI training on client matter content. The current DPA templates and confidentiality declarations prohibit use of customer content for training or improving AI models by CASUS and its AI subprocessors.
• Defined processing locations. The DPA restricts content processing to Switzerland and the EU/EEA. The current inference locations are Switzerland and the EU; persistent content storage remains in Zurich.
• Zero data retention for AI inference. AI providers process content only for the request and do not retain it afterwards for abuse monitoring or human review. Platform storage and backups follow the DPA deletion rules.
• Restricted access and confidentiality. Access is limited to authorised personnel and approved subprocessors as necessary to provide the service, subject to confidentiality and professional-secrecy obligations. Customer data is logically separated across users and clients.
• Country-specific professional secrecy. Separate declarations address the obligations applicable to law firms in Switzerland, Germany and Austria, including handling of official requests and, for Switzerland, an immediate request for sealing where applicable.
